Jeffrey L. Sternlieb, Ph.D.

Education:

B.A. Amherst College
Ph.D. Catholic University of America

  • Provides consultation to businesses through training, organizational development, and individual coaching and development.
  • Assists groups to explore new growth areas, respond to change in the business environment and maximize employees’ potential.
  • Supports health/stress management applications in the workplace, and provides interpersonal skills training.
  • Specializes in leadership development, team building strategies and violence prevention, diversity training and sexual harassment awareness.

Currently, Dr. Sternlieb applies these principles in corporate and educational settings. Most people who get hired are valued for a specific skill set – IT, creativity, science, and writing – all knowledge based. However, among the people who get fired, the vast majority lose their jobs because of their lack of people skills. Through his company, MetaWorks, P.C., Dr. Sternlieb’s work focuses on four areas: People Skills (leadership, communication, conflict and change management, team building), Company Culture (diversity and gender issues, violence prevention, ethics, etc), Stress and Burn-Out, and Work – Life Balance.

Most recently, Dr. Sternlieb has become a consultant partner to the producer of PeopleSmart
©, a comprehensive and customizable training program to help people work more ‘people smart.’ Modules of this program focus on Understanding People, Resolving Conflict, Assertiveness, Influencing Others, Communication Skills, Change Management, and Feedback Skills.

Finally, Dr. Sternlieb is a contributing presenter or is on the faculty of a number of organizations dedicated to maximizing human potential through training and development programs:

  • Lehigh Valley Hospital Family Practice Residency Program - Allentown, Pa.
  • Manufacturers Association of Berks County (PA)
  • Manufacturers Association of Mid-Eastern PA
  • Tri-County Chamber of Commerce – Pottstown, PA
  • Paving the Way – Celebrating the Achievements of Women Professionals (Berks Co., PA)
